How the pandemic is having a dark impact on child marriage

With UNICEF's recent report indicating that ten million additional child marriages may occur worldwide before the end of 2030, in this article for The Independent we explore how our Improving Lives programme with UNICEF is helping to prevent child marriage across tea estates in Assam, India.

The article outlines how our work with adolescent girls and boys, as well as the wider community, addresses this issue - and how our programme has creatively adapted to continue supporting tea communities throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
