Inequality Kills - Oxfam report

[17.01.22]

According to Oxfam's new report titled 'Inequality Kills', COVID-19 has lowered the income of 99% of the world's population and pushed more than 160 million more people into poverty.

The report argues that women, ethnic minorities and developing countries have been the hardest hit by growing inequality during the pandemic, and that governments must do more to redress the disparity between the poorest and the most wealthy.

In the report, Oxfam urges governments to re-think structural policies that cause harm to the poorest people, including women and girls, and invest in healthcare, social protection, climate change adaptation and preventing gender-based violence.
